Jumping to conclusions

Hi Readers,

Apologized for not writing on 6th of March, as i was out. However when i was out, i discovered a intuitive of assumption, which is “Conclusion”. Many people jump to conclusion, why would i say so? because of personal judgment and without enough evidences or facts,  that is why people will just jump to conclusion. So today i will be writing about “Jumping to conclusion”

Normally everyone goes through thinking or getting evidences or facts to conclude a person, when you want to conclude a person a very important thing is evidences. What is a person who doesn’t have evidence or proof, that’s jumping to conclusion. A lot of us jump to conclusions when we half-overhear something or see only part of what someone’s doing, and make our conclusion mistake into others.

However due to assumptions which lead us to conclusion, we first assume the situation before we conclude on it. I believe everyone in this world have jump to conclusion before. It’s in everyone, most people will just jump to conclusion because that is how we react, before we even think of a answer, we already jump to a conclusion. That’s how human works.

However there are many people who said that being conclusive means being ignorant. I beg to differ, everyone shows different personality or different views however don’t place ignorance into conclusive as it’s part of human. I’m sure everyone conclude everything using the word “maybe”, “could it be” or other forms. Those are being conclusive.

Jumping to conclusion sometimes can be either good or bad, it can also cause conflicts among friends or family. However on different matters or situation, different people may have different conclusions other then yours. For such as what i am writing now, i may or may not be jumping to conclusion. However i am writing based on what is there about conclusions.

“Get it right or let it alone. The conclusion  you jump to may be your own.” Quoted by James Thurber

  1. HI SHAWNY. I KNOW YOU’RE VERY HAPPY CAUSE I’M COMMENTING ON THIS. (WHEN YOU DIDN’T ASK ME TO) HURHUR. PLEASE STOP HAOLIANING TO ME ON MSN HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE LINKING YOU UP BEFORE I CHOKE YOU AND STAB YOU LIKE WHAT I SAID. LOL. Okok, seriousssssssss time. Honestly, i like this post.

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

I know people look at me and try to make conclusions about me immediately. Like, first impression, right! I think you wrote about that before. Okay, anyway…. I think that most people is just too quick at forming conclusions. But when everyone agrees or disagrees, it is only in their conclusions. You have to let the person think whatever they want or do whatever they want with their own conclusions. Whether it’s good or bad, cause their reasons are always different. Like you said in the post, “Jumping to conclusion sometimes can be either good or bad, it can also cause conflicts among friends or family. However on different matters or situation, different people may have different conclusions other then yours.”
    OKAY BYE.

  4. Tahsinul: It’s okay for a short comment! i can understand. SAT exam to enter college in united state, i believe you can pass the SAT.

  5. Therefore,I conclude that i love Shawn’s blog..hahah ..true.i have jumped to conclusion many times before already…caused by hatred or anger.i didn’t look for evidences and believed in what i wanted to believe.. i made speculations..i made assumptions..and its bad.
everyone is innocent until proven guilty
we must not speculate or accuse anyone without sufficient proofs :) )

  6. People get lazy sometimes and they want to solve the situation. Many conclusions are not correct for the same reason.

  7. and yes like what i’ve had said on your last topic “Assumption” it is again the desire to believe what we want to believe .. and scientifically speaking we are reacting to our own stimuli , its in our blood .. this is really a good topic, great works Shawn :)

  8. This world is evidence base. No evidence no talk.
Humans are too judgmental and we jump to conclusion quickly.

  9. People nowadays act fast accordingly rather than spend time reasoning things through and thinking about the true facts. Not only can this lead us to a wrong conclusion, but it can also cause conflict with others, who may have diffferent opinions
Jumping into conclusions is like reacting spontaneously from what we heard or see. Having said that, we all are humans and we have the same pattern in thinking. Without any conscious effort, we make meaning of or interpret what we observe or experience.
For example, when we see a lion running towards us, we must conclude that it is preying on us, instead of wasting time thinking what it is doing << LOL
Is it good or bad? Well its certainly a nature in us human. All we can do is try to encourage ourselves to think thoroughly before acting :)

  10. Elfie: Really funny example, but your right! i believe it’s call instinct when you feel something is bound to happen. However you conclude first though. :) nice explanation.
