Compassion

Hi Readers,

After knowing and gaining experiences on cherishing and treasuring things in life, now we can go into a deeper understanding of  humans compassion. There are people who doesn’t have compassion,  yet they still feel compassionate when they see their family and friends suffering. That is why i will be writing on “Compassion” today.

Everyone have compassion inside of us, it’s a natural feeling that is inborn with us since birth, we know what it is like to feel the pain of others even though we did not experience it ourselves. compassion is a state of mind that is being motivated by cherishing other living beings, it’s when people starts to understand the suffering of other people and wanting to do something about it. Even though you can’t feel what they are feeling, are least you empathize them and try to feel them. It is also an emotion that prompts you to understand the pain of others.

Think about friends or family who is under depression or ill, you tried to feel and understand them yet you won’t know exactly how they feel, because human compassion have a limit. The limit is there because due to human understandings, we can’t really feel everything of a person, we only can feel some of it, we can only choose to understand them. However compassion is often mistook for empathy, each have it’s own meaning. Empathy is what you feel for someone when you have also experienced the same or similar situation.

However understanding compassion is one thing, putting it into action is another. That is why people often get mixed up into showing compassion, normally people would just encourage or cheer the person, that is not compassion at all. Genuine compassion is about feeling and understand and wishes for peace and happiness by showing concern, that is genuine compassion.

Passion and compassion are of different meanings, do not mix them together. Passion is a strong desire to succeed at one thing.

“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” Quoted by Dala lama

    In a way

i agree because yet they seem similar. Compassion isn’t really a desire to do something. Its more like you do it because you love it.

  4. When you think of yourself in someone else’s situation at a time of loss, you would most probably feel what that person needs. From that step, you can give genuine compassion and fully understand that moment.

    ehh… can’t sleep ~.~

  5. Slayer: Why can’t sleep? I love your comment!, however to feel in someone else, you got to first understand them. Compassion is just part of it. Many thing are related to being able to understand someone.
